Job Title: Regional Sales Manager, Southeast (Remote territory based)

 

Reports to: President

Department: Sales

Location: Working remotely out of the Southeastern region. Must be based out of the territory

Garland Technology, the industry leader in delivering network products and solutions for enterprise, service providers and government agencies worldwide is seeking an experienced self-motivated and talented Regional Sales Manager to join our fast-growing team.  As a valued member of our organization, you'll play a key role in achieving our customer acquisition and revenue goals in support of our US growth strategies.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned territory
    • US - Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida
  • Develop relationships at the appropriate management level with distributors, resellers and end-users, developing internal and external marketing and operational strategies for success.
  • Expand relationships at the appropriate management level in end-user organizations for direct or channel sales.  
  • Build on a strong history of networked contacts, expanding the brand recognition of Garland Technology.
  • Accountable for all channel partners and end-user sales revenue
  • Establish a list of targeted channel partners and end-users
  • Review channel partner and end-users performance on a monthly basis.
  • Develop and/or modify sales forecasting, goals, performance standards & measurement criteria for sales.
  • Support the development, implementation and management of account plans that achieve maximum possible revenue generation from new and existing customers through sales of product and services
  • Grow effective and trusting working relationships with key partners to leverage lead generation on major accounts / prospective customer projects and opportunity development.
  • Foster Technology Partner relationships with sales engineers and salespeople.
  • Travel up to 2 weeks per month. Passport required. 

 

Skill Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years working in sales, a technology environment is preferred.
  • Must already live in the assigned territory (no relocations or commuting from outside the territory)
  • Familiarity with the following systems: G Suite, HubSpot, Allbound, DiscoverOrg
  • Ability to effectively prospect and cold call in a startup territory
  • Strong and persistent drive, with effective negotiating skills and motivated through sales achievement.
  • Experience in attracting, managing and motivating a channel sales force. Experience working with resellers. Prior experience within the security, analysis, and compliance industry is preferred.
  • A measurable, highly successful level of experience selling products, services and solutions through channel partners and end-users.
  • Experience in developing a sales operational plan with a multi-year outlook.
  • Quick learner with enthusiasm to gain knowledge of new technology.
  • Team player with ability to work under pressure.
  • Must have basic computer networking knowledge.

 

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

 

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
