Can I use a different power source than the one provided by Garland Technology?
No, please do not. We recommend using the supplied power source exclusively with Garland Technology’s products. Failure to use the provided power supply could void the warranty.
Will the Power Supply Unit (PSU) included with the GAA10GXXAC Advanced Aggregators operate with 220V and 50Hz?
Yes. The PSU included with the GAA line-up are universal power supplies and will work anywhere in the world.
How do I properly shut down my Garland product?
Our AA (Advanced Aggregator) products do require a graceful shutdown. To shut down properly:
- SSH to the device or connect to the console port
- Then, enter these commands:
admin@OVS:~$ sync
admin@OVS:~$ sudo shutdown now
For all other Garland products, simply unplug the power supply from the power source
Do I have to use Garland branded SFPs/Transceivers in Garland’s products?
No. You can use any transceivers with our products. Garland’s products support multi-source agreement (MSA) transceivers/optics. There is a chance that a low quality transceiver might cause issues, but we don’t make you buy ours.
Are there Visio stencils available for Garland Technology products?

Do Garland devices support the use of SNMP for pulling performance data?
All Garland Technology packet brokers support SNMP. For specific questions regarding the supported SNMP version(s) and types of information reported, please consult the product documentation or contact our Support team.

Nothing! Firmware updates are free for Garland Technology products currently under warranty.
How do I update my product to the latest firmware version?

How do I get my grill, griddle, fryer, or oven serviced?
You actually need to contact a different company called Garland Group to help you. They manufacture well-crafted kitchen equipment. Garland Technology is a separate company and we manufacture IT network equipment. (Now, we do appreciate a good burger here at Garland Technology so we hope you get your grill back up and running quickly! Good luck!)
