What is the input voltage?
The input voltage is 9 VDC to 36 VDC.
How does the DIN Rail Mount attach to the TAP?
It's easy. Just screw the mount to the side of the TAP with supplied screws. The Mount allows you to simply snap or slide the TAP into a 35mm DIN Rail.
Are there alternate ways to install the TAP besides DIN Rail?
Yes, the TAP can be attached in a traditional manner using a 1U Rack Mount Kit or a 1U Rack Shelf Mount Kit. The benefit of these installation options is that up to four (4) portable TAPs can be installed in a 1U slot.
How does Breakout Mode work?
The TAP offers one (1) mode: Breakout, which means that the TAP provides a copy of the directional traffic out of each monitoring port separately. Monitoring Port C provides a copy of the A to B traffic, and Monitoring Port D provides a copy of the B to A traffic.
How do I change the network speed?
The DIP switches on the back of the TAP can be configured for 10M, 100M, or 1000M network speeds. An install guide is available on our Support page for guidance.
