ICOS and Garland Technology announce new distribution agreement in Italy
ICOS S.p.A., a value-added distributor of IT infrastructure and security solutions, and Garland Technology, a leading global provider of network Test Access Points (TAPs), hardware data diodes, and network packet brokers, announced today that they have entered into an agreement under which ICOS will distribute Garland Technology products in Italy. Garland Technology provides network visibility solutions designed to ensure that IT and OT network monitoring and security technologies are able to deliver the maximum performance and the highest level of protection needed by today’s organizations. To that purpose, Garland Technology’s products intercept all the traffic that crosses the network, create a copy of the data, and direct it towards critical tools - such as cyber security, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and forensic analysis - providing the tools with complete packet-level visibility. All this happens non-intrusively, safeguarding the performance and integrity of the network. By leveraging this new partnership, customers can increase the performance and enhance the effectiveness of their critical technologies for network monitoring and security. “Garland Technology is committed to growing our business through strategic partnerships with distributors like ICOS. ICOS delivers invaluable sales support, deep technical knowledge, and strong relationships in their local markets," said Chris Bihary, CEO / Co-Founder, Garland Technology. “We are proud to offer complementary solutions to several of ICOS' key vendors including Armis and LogRhythm, which enables ICOS to provide customers with complete IT visibility and security solutions.” “An effective security and monitoring strategy is vital for organizations that are increasingly exposed to cyber threats. Garland Technology’s solutions offer the guarantee that the technologies used to protect the network provide the performance that customers expect, and this is an important differentiator, as well as, significant added value for our partners,” said Federico Marini, Managing Director, ICOS. Thanks to their features, quality, and innovation, Garland’s products are the ideal complement to our security portfolio and an ideal match for channel partners who want to expand their market share." Wavelink and Garland Technology announce new distribution agreement to help critical infrastructures optimize their operations
Wavelink, a leader in providing enterprise solutions to the channel, has announced a new distribution agreement with Garland Technology, a globally recognized provider of Network Test Access Points (TAPs), data diodes, and packet brokers. This strategic partnership lets Wavelink offer its partners a wide-ranging set of critical network visibility solutions, ensuring they can readily implement robust measures in an environment rife with increasingly sophisticated and pervasive cyber threats. Effective immediately, Wavelink is distributing Garland Technology products through its extensive network of resellers and system integrators across various industries, including mining, manufacturing, finance, healthcare, and critical infrastructure. Both businesses are committed to providing ongoing support and training for partners, from the initial implementation phase to ongoing operations, ensuring that their network infrastructure remains robust, secure, and efficient. Garland Technology provides critical solutions for network visibility, which are essential for organizations to ensure that data can be monitored, analyzed, and protected efficiently. Network TAPs let companies access data traffic non-intrusively for full data visibility without compromising network integrity. Packet brokers optimize the traffic flow to monitoring tools, ensuring that security and performance monitoring systems receive the relevant data they need to operate effectively. Cloud visibility solutions extend these capabilities into cloud environments where traditional data access methods may not suffice. This means enhanced network performance, improved security posture, and better compliance with regulations for businesses as they gain the ability to monitor and respond to issues in real-time. “The demand for network visibility solutions designed specifically for OT environments has grown substantially over the past 18 months. Garland Technology is excited to partner with the Wavelink Communications team and bring our Network TAP, Aggregator, and Hardware Data Diode solutions to the Australian market,” said Chris Bihary, CEO/Co-Founder of Garland Technology. Having a dedicated partner like Wavelink is crucial to helping Garland expand our network in Australia and New Zealand and assist in protecting vital critical infrastructure assets.” Ilan Rubin, chief executive officer of Wavelink, said, “Garland Technology aligns perfectly with Wavelink’s mission to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions. Garland Technology’s products complement Wavelink’s existing portfolio and empower the organization to offer a comprehensive solution set for partners to help customers achieve their network performance and security goals. “This partnership is a step forward in providing Australian and New Zealand companies with the tools they need to safeguard their digital assets and maintain operational integrity. By enhancing their network visibility and security capabilities, organizations can protect against threats and optimize their network performance, leading to better business outcomes.”
Darktrace and Garland Technology Collaborate to Help Businesses Secure Operational Technology Environments
Combination of Darktrace’s cyber AI and Garland’s network solutions provide seamless deployments and more complete network visibility for complex industrial environments and critical infrastructure systems Cambridge, UK January 24, 2024 Darktrace, a global leader in cyber security AI, and Garland Technology, a leading manufacturer of network TAP (test access point), aggregator, packet broker, data diode and inline bypass solutions, today announced a new collaboration to help businesses protect complex industrial environments. This collaboration brings Darktrace/OT™ and Garland Technology’s network visibility solutions together, offering fast, seamless deployments and more complete network visibility in operational technology (OT) environments. Security risks in industrial environments and critical infrastructure continue to rise. The increasing monetization of OT attacks, exposure of Industrial Control Systems (ICS) to open networks, and convergence with IT is heightening opportunities for threat actors. The number of industrial IoT (IIoT) devices is increasing rapidly, with the global number of industrial IoT connections forecasted to reach 37 billion in 2025 according to Juniper Research, creating entry points for adversaries and leaving major visibility gaps for security teams who are already faced with tight budgets and personnel shortages. Together, Garland’s Network TAPs and Aggregators and Darktrace/OT are designed to quickly enable visibility and security across OT, IT, and IIoT networks to Purdue level 1. Purdue level 1 includes devices, such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and remote terminal units (RTUs) that sit closest to the physical industrial processes. Using Garland’s network TAP solutions with Darktrace minimizes deployment challenges with little to no additional configuration required in complex industrial environments, quickly illuminates points of IT and OT convergence, provides unidirectional traffic flow, and detects potential threats to keep data and environments secure.
