Purpose Built Network Packet Brokers

I’ve been talking with quite a few customers lately on data center management and monitoring projects. One recurring specification I keep hearing is to be able to accommodate a variety of network speeds, for example - customers want to be able to easily go from 1G to 10G, 10G to 40G. And while 100G is needed at the core, the ability to split a 100G port through a user interface provides additional flexibility at the edge. You want to be able to take a 100G port, and split it to get (4) 25G links. In addition, having the ability to change at will to and from 40G <-> 100G provides the flexibility to quickly adapt to your changing needs.
As a manufacturer of network test access (TAP) products, we also provide to our customers purpose built network packet brokers. Why do I differentiate with the qualifier, ‘Purpose Built’? Because our offer of Network Packet Brokers fits a niche need in the industry, and that niche is when the need is under 200 links.
Got Gigamon? Got Ixia? No Problem.
In our industry, competitors, partners and customers often intertwine. Anyone with a few years of experience as a reseller or technology manufacturer will tell you the same thing. Today we may compete, but be assured, tomorrow we will work together on a project. I like to point this out, because when I’m asked “who” our competitors are, it’s always a difficult answer. Sure, we compete with the giants like Gigamon and Ixia, but what Garland does is very different; we have defined our niche and we know our market.
When I hear, “We use Gigamon or Ixia.” my response is “Great - let Garland’s fiber optic TAPs and packet brokers optimize your 200+ port solution by ensuring the tools at the top get the data they need for optimum application performance and threat mitigation. Oh, and we'll save you money.
This is why I’m pleased to introduce to you our new network packet broker product line. These 1U units support up to 100G and have up to 32 ports. They can be deployed for multi-device stacking, providing additional ports to meet your monitoring needs.
Why Choose Garland’s Purpose Built Packet Brokers?

Here's our Competitive Edge:
